Panton Fellowships 2013/2014

The Panton Fellowships, are funded this year by the Computer and Communications Industry Association and coordinated by the Open Knowledge Foundation. They will be awarded to scientists who actively promote open data in science.

Panton Fellows will receive £8,000 per annum.

Eligible applicants will:

  • ideally be graduate students or early career stage scientists;
  • hold a valid EU passport;
  • reasonably expect to be employed and/or studying in a relevant scientific field until July 2014;
  • reasonably expect to be based somewhere in Europe until July 2014;
  • have the consent of employers/funders to be a Panton Fellow whilst continuing to fulfil existing commitments;
  • applicants should be enthusiastic, self-motivated and proactive, with excellent communication skills.
