Job vacancies European Patent Office

In 2016 the European Patent Office is looking for 200 Engineers and Scientists to work as Patent Examiner in our international team at the forefront of technology.
Patent examiners work at the forefront of technology and deal every day with the latest and most challenging technical innovations. Their daily work combines scientific expertise with analytical research and an eye for the legal aspects of intellectual property.

The EPO currently offers job opportunities in a wide range of technical fields

There are particularly many job opportunities in the area of Computers where you are supposed to have at least a level of Master of Science in Telecommunications, Computer Science, Electronics or Electro mechanics.
Candidates must meet following requirements such as:

  • Citizenship of one of the member states;
  • Diploma of completed university studies at Master’s level in physics, chemistry, engineering or natural sciences;
  • Sufficient language skills (English + at least one of the two other official languages German or French).
