Google Ireland Ltd – EMEA Internship

Google offers internship opportunities throughout the year. If you are studying Psychology or Art History, don't let that arts degree keep you from applying to Google.

All interns receive ongoing mentorship and training throughout their program at Google and will be assigned an intern "host" who will inspire them, oversee their work, help identify project goals, and support their professional development.
Additionally, we offer a series of trainings for interns continued education. All interns can attend regular talks given by various Googlers, learning about different products and groups across the company. Interns also have the opportunity to attend weekly company meetings to get the latest news from our country leaders, and address specific questions or issues.

1 -  ONLINE MEDIA ASSOCIATE INTERN (Multiple Languages Available) - EU Headquarters
2 -  ONLINE MEDIA ASSOCIATE INTERN (Multiple Languages Available) - Wroclaw
Start Date and Duration:
- Option 1 “Summer Internship”:  end of June for a duration of 10-12 weeks.
- Option 2 “Long-term Internship”: January/February or June/July for a duration of 5-6 months

Responsibilities:
- Provide outstanding customer service to Google's advertisers, publishers, users and/or internal clients.
- Manage and drive specific projects, present results and make recommendations.
- Identify customer problems and develop creative solutions.
- Work collaboratively with your team to improve account performance for new and existing markets/products.
- Identify opportunities to improve Google products, working with
- Product Management, Marketing, Engineering, and other cross-functional teams to test and implement improvements.

Minimum Qualifications:
Students with a Bachelors/Masters degree in progress. To be eligible, students need to return to full-time education for at least 3 months after the internship. Priority given to applicants graduating late 2012 or during 2013.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous internships in account management, marketing, customer support, sales or consulting.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects at a time while paying strict attention to detail.
- Strong computer application skills and interest in the Internet industry.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and in the language of the market you would support.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Demonstrated capacity to lead and motivate others around you.

3 -  ASSOCIATE PRODUCT MARKETING MANAGER INTERN - Multiple Locations Available
Start date and duration: Winter or summer start dates, duration 3-12 months (depending on the team and location).

Responsibilities:
- Analyse market to identify major players, potential partners and opportunities for each product.
- Define and implement customer communications strategy. Provide follow up and tracking marketing initiatives.
- Define market research studies to gain knowledge about user attitudes and behavior.
- Provide support to the sales team.

Minimum Qualifications:
Students with a Bachelors/Masters degree in progress. To be eligible, students need to return to full-time education after the internship. Priority given to applicants graduating late 2012 or during 2013.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Proven track record of exceptional performance and high productivity.
- Strong interest in product marketing, direct marketing, marketing programme management or consulting. - Keen interest in analyzing products, customers and market dynamics.
- Strong organizational and analytical skills plus demonstrated capacity for understanding strategy.
- Understanding of the search, online advertising or web publishing markets and interest in working on a variety of product and search related challenges.
- Fluency in English, as well as the location's local language.

4 -  LEGAL INTERN (Multiple European Locations) - Milan and Madrid
Start date and duration: Flexible

Responsibilities:
- Conduct legal research on a variety of legal topics including: intellectual property, consumer regulations, media regulations, advertising law, etc.
- Respond to various legal requests from users and third parties in relation to Google services.
- Assist the legal team in the preparation and the management of court actions.
- Participate in the creation of an internal knowledge base for the legal team.
 
Minimum Qualifications:
Law Degree preferred with excellent academic credentials. Graduate degree (LL.M. or equivalent) specialized in intellectual property, technology law or communication law. In lieu of degree, relevant skills or equivalent experience.
 
Preferred Qualifications:
- Related experience in a leading law firm.
- Excellent legal analysis and research skills.
- Knowledge of online technologies and services.
- Good written and oral skills in English and Italian or Spanish.
- Well organised and able to manage numerous projects simultaneously under deadline pressure.
