European Alliance for Innovation - Student Competition

The aim of EAI Student Innovation Competition is to highlight and reward innovative student research projects focusing on a new product, service or industrial processes, based on a project with a contribution to innovation in Europe. The competition provides an opportunity for students to show their products, ideas and solution regardless their research is at a prototype level and/or ready for commercial application.
Students gain an experiences, and opportunity to turn their ideas into reality while competing with their peers from around the world. In addition, they have the opportunity to present their work in front of experts, companies, recruitment companies and other key actors in research and business.
 
The competition is held to:
•    identify best ideas from young talent
•    link young talent industry, business, private investment, and research
•    promote new fresh ideas to prospective companies
•    reward inventive European research and innovation projects
•   promote a new product, industrial process, service, based on a project with a major contribution to innovation within the ICT field in Europe

Winners of the competition will receive recognition determined by the Competition’s sponsor, appear in the EAI and/or member organization’s digital publications, and receive a special invitation to present at the EAI upcoming summit. Selected students will be featured in The Innovator. The first place winner will receive a trip to the headquarters of the sponsoring company.

How to Submit
To participate to the Student Competition, applicants must complete the online submission form.  Prospective presenters are asked to submit an abstract of no more than 1,000 words addressing the core technical area(s) and describing their practical experience with application, deployment and usage of particular technologies.
Entries based on the information provided in the form will be evaluated by a Commission of Experts. Authors of the best and original projects/ideas/products will be notified by e-mail. Each entry should reflect this year’s Summit theme: Internet as Innovation Eco-system. Summit takes place in Riva del Garda (Italy) from 4 to 6 October 2012.

Acceptance notification: 05 September 2012
